On 27 October 2023, ELAC Co-Director Janina Dill was featured on BBC World News Newshour in a segment on the Israel-Hamas War and Israel’s plan to increase air strikes and ground operations in Gaza. Dill, the Dame Louise Richardson Chair in Global Security at the Blavatnik School of Government (University of Oxford), speaks on humanitarian law in conflict zones and the legality surrounding actions in Gaza (segment starts at mark 17:22).
NPR AirTalk also featured Dr Dill on the 27 October 2023 episode titled, “Civilian Costs Of War: International Legal And Moral Considerations.” The segment, which starts at mark 17:56, focuses on proportionality, war crimes, international law, and civilian casualties in conflict.
