ELAC Fellow of Practice Brianna Rosen was recently quoted in a National Journal article on AI advances in the battlefield. The article, ‘AI marches toward the battlefield‘, looks at the challenges of using AI in warzones, including regulation and ethical concerns.
According to Rosen, “AI is increasing the pace and scale of war, compounding risks to civilians with very little transparency or regulation. All of this results in the removal of direct moral responsibility for killing in war, and the desensitization to violence more broadly.”
