ELAC is delighted to announce that Co-Director Dapo Akande has been appointed the Chichele Professor of Public International Law. He will take up the post in October 2023. Previous holders of the chair have included Professor Catherine Redgwell, Sir Humphrey Waldock QC, Sir Ian Brownlie QC, and Professor Vaughan Lowe KC.
In addition to serving as the Co-Director of ELAC, Dapo is currently Professor of Public International Law at the Blavatnik School of Government and a Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford. In January 2023 he became a Member of the United Nations International Law Commission.
