Florian Brunner is a Research Assistant supporting Professor Janina Dill at the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict (ELAC). He is a DPhil candidate in International Relations (IR) at Nuffield College. His doctoral work focuses on the governance, funding, and crises of international organisations.

Florian previously completed an MPhil in IR at Oxford and a BSc in Political Science at the Technical University of Munich, alongside a BA in Romance Philology and Economics at LMU Munich. During his undergraduate degrees, he completed an exchange at Sciences Po Paris and interned with the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU.

As a first-generation student, Florian is passionately committed to promoting equality of opportunities in higher education, including as Co-Head of Team Germany of Project Access and as EDI Officer at Nuffield College.
