Summia Tora Named by Forbes as 30 Under 30 Leader in Public Policy

ELAC Visiting Scholar Summia Tora was named on the Forbes 30 under 30 list in Asia under the social impact category. Summia was recognised for her work in founding the Dosti Network, which helps Afghan families to access aid and resources, and navigate the immigration process. Dosti Network aims to give Afghans the opportunity to resettle abroad or live safely within their country by compiling lists of resources like emergency shelters, immigration assistance and scholarships, as well as corralling donations.

Summia previously worked to destigmatize menstrual health and hygiene in Afghanistan and Pakistan. She holds a Masters in Public Policy and a Masters in International Human Rights Law at Oxford as the first Rhodes scholar from Afghanistan.
