Sep 27, 2022

On 27 September, ELAC Deputy Director and IPS Executive Director Federica D’Alessandra spoke at the 2022 Eradicate Hate Global Summit, which took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States from 27-28 September.

The Eradicate Hate Global Summit is considered the most comprehensive anti-hate conference in the world. It unites experts and leaders from around the globe, who are dedicated to eradicating all forms of hate-fuelled violence. The mission of the Summit is to identify and implement effective solutions for collective change.

Federica spoke about one of the Oxford Programme on International Peace and Security (IPS)’s latest research projects, Mass Atrocities in the Digital Age: Preserving Social Media Evidence, as part of a panel discussion, and advocated for the need and possibilities to preserve and disclose to international justice authorities evidence of international crimes present on social media platforms.
