From 17-19 February, ELAC Deputy Director and IPS Executive Director Federica D’Alessandra participated to the 2023 edition of the Munich Security Conference, the world’s leading forum for debating the most pressing challenges to international security. Every February, the MSC assembles more than 450 senior decision-makers as well as thought leaders from around the world, including heads of state, ministers, leading personalities of international and non-governmental organizations, high-ranking representatives from business, the media, academia, and civil society to debate pressing issues of international security policy. Almost one year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the MSC 2023 also provided an opportunity to take stock of alliance cohesion and political commitment to the rules-based international order.
