ELAC, the Centre for Fundamental Rights at the Hertie School, the Essex Armed Conflict and Crisis Hub, the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex, and the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford have launched a Call for Papers for a research workshop on ‘Protection of Human Rights in the Context of Armed Conflict’ taking place on 13 June 2025 at the Hertie School. The event organisers welcome paper proposals that examine the role of international human rights law in regulating armed conflict and responding effectively to human rights violations and abuses occurring during armed conflict.
