ELAC and NATO Policy Planning Unit Organize Workshop on Good Governance

On June 8, the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict, in partnership with the Policy Planning Unit in the Office of the NATO Secretary General, organised a workshop on mainstreaming good governance across NATO’s core tasks. The workshop aimed to generate ideas and proposals on how this objective can be achieved, particularly in an increasingly volatile and competitive security environment. Participants identified what parameters should define NATO’s democratic good governance agenda and what topics the Alliance should prioritise and examined what tools could be fitting to this endeavour in the future, focusing in particular on partnerships with civil society and academia.
